About the Editors: Linda Newton-Perry and Christopher Perry

The Perrys have lived in Oregon since 1969 and consider it their home. They both had a hand in writing their Viking Age Novel, FORCED BLOOD THE NORSEMAN. They have been published in several magazines: OREGON, OREGON COAST, PROPELLER and more. For a short time they owned part interest in their local weekly newspaper. Linda Newton-Perry wrote for three newspapers a bigfoot column lasting three plus years. AND then this site has been published by the Perrys since 2009. Can't forget- the couple has also published several children's bigfoot books, one or two of interest to adults as well.

Bigfoot Premise

Attention Bill Emery or Cole Saxton: I have the book Bigfoot Premise that you may have. I intended to give a copy to each of the ESP Team, but things just fell apart. I can send it to a city Post Office, general delivery. So if you know Emery please let him know. (The book contains the comments he and his team shared with Ballyhoo as they went about getting the photos of  the bigfoot (Big Clyde.)  It is yours if either of you want it. There is just this one copy of the book.  No strings and free of charge. Additionally, the book is not for sale. It was available to be viewed for a short time while we waited for the Clyde photos to be released. Emery asked that I take the book down or close it for public reading which I did.  The best to  you all. Linda Newton-Perry

Note from Linda Newton-Perry

Today I read the below comment on a Youtube Video. The reason I read it is this: This man may still be alive. He was alive in 2013, so still may be. He knows about the results of the autopsy on the 1962 Columbus Day Animal.  Perhaps he knows something about Dr. Miller. Anyway for researchers on the subject of Dr. Miller this information may help. You can read the Miller document by going to the Archive Section, right column and down. It is the first article on the Archive Section. ... LNP

Guest Editor:Blogger on Columbus Day Animal

Thomas Parker, Baltimore has left a new comment on your post "Another Newspaper Article '62 Animal":

It has become very apparent that the forest service has been hoodwinking the public for decades about the truth on this matter.
According to head supervisor of USFS in Oregon in 1971 a gorilla was found dead in southern Oregon in the early sixties.

This statement was a flat out lie because he knew as did others at that time of the discovery of the remains it certainly was not any species of gorilla or primate known to date.

The estimated time of death was around 10/12/62 and even with severe degradation of the body the animal still topped the scales at 648lbs. and 7.3 in total length.

The autopsy showed the animal had sustained massive damage by crushing weight. Death was thought to be instantaneous.

With no DNA in thouse years it was only possible to type match in which no BT was determined.

It was checked for human and known animal type and nothing was ever matched.

Though it been many years since I last checked the remains were sent to Smithsonian Institute for later research.

The skeletal remains were positively there in 1997.

After 2001 the feds removed thousands of files or skeletal remains of anything there prior to 2000.

In Search of the TRUTH

Attention KS

KS can you tell us more about Dr. Miller. We would like to know more about the man and his written works on bigfoot/sasquatch. Please use the comment tool if you have information that we can use to prove he existed and worked with these animals. Thank you. ... Linda Newton-Perry

My Name is KS
I wish to make my sighting part of your record of Sasquatch experiences.
Your site has given me courage. I am shy about sharing my experience. It is a relief to see more and more from USFS posting the truth.  I spent time as an archaeological assistant several semesters each year while in graduate and post-graduate school. We definitely knew about the bigfoots. We were given a reference card, which included the accepted scientific taxa accepted by the USFS. I kept it to this day-

Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Class: Mammalia
Order: Primates
Family:  Omniambientiadae
Genus: Omniambientiachus
O. arktos
O. nerteros pacificus
O. somphos
O. americanus
O. texicanus
O. amazonia

I remember learning about Dr. Miller and the debates about classifying the animal, and the taxonomy keeps changing each decade or so. But his species classification has stayed the test of time.
Because the animal is a hodgepodge of various primate qualities from New World Monkeys, to prosimian, to Old World Monkeys, it was recently determined to create a single new family of Primate. This new family literally means all – in – one or all encompassing.
As an archaeological assistant for the United States Forest Service, we were assigned to very remote areas in the Pacific Northwest. Of course we knew we could encounter three different kinds of bigfoots- O. arktos, O. nerteros pacificus, and O.americanus. One early morning while at a study site in the gold hill area- I noticed a herd of running big-black-tail. The deer ran through an open grove. It seemed like out of no-where when a large bigfoot (O. nerteros pacificus) jumped from the tree line and landed on top of a large blacktail. It nearly straddled the deer and flung its huge muscular arm around the neck of the deer, pulling it to the ground. Once the deer was to the ground- the bigfoot clamped its huge jaws onto the neck of the deer and shook it violently. I was terrified- especially when it looked up at me and stared momentarily. Then it grabbed the deer by its neck and dragged it off.
Anytime I tell the story- I am ridiculed. I hope more forest service or fish and wildlife employees start speaking up.

Please only use my initials when posting online.

BTW [By The Way]
This is what the other side of the reference card says: (Note: O. n.p. is the reference to bigfoots. O. nerterus pacificus)____________
When encountering unexpected O. n.p. wildlife
While driving a vehicle:
Keep Headlights, taillights, mirrors, and all windows clean and clear
Slow down and try to avoid the animal.
Note: If encountering O. n.p., it is safer to hit the animal rather than to drive off the shoulder and risk a head-on collision.
O. n.p. that display dangerous characteristics should be destroyed
Private Livestock and O. n.p.
At times the O. n.p. may feed on private live stock on federal lands, notify your supervisor immediately and maintain confidentiality.
Exercise extreme caution in the presence of O. n.p.
Keep alert for O. n.p. at all times

And ...

If you are Dr. Miller's granddaughter or Dr Wentsworth's granddaughter would you let us know how we can contact you. The information in these documents could play a big part in the discovery of bigfoot. Comment here, please. ... LNP

In 1962 ...

In Oregon, 1962, a storm swept through causing much damage to trees and property damage in general. The storm was named THE COLUMBUS DAY STORM. Under a fallen tree was found a dead animal. Many believed it to be a bigfoot/sasquatch. It was examined by several doctors. Its bones, reports, etc. is believed to ended up in the Smithsonian. But they now claimed to have no record of it. The files have been lost. If you are the son of a doctor that examined this animal could you please share the records with us. You commented here on Ballyhoo that you had your father's records. The comment was by anonymous.

Three Doctors That Examined the Columbus Day Animal

"This might cause an uproar but..."

"Bigfoot "...threat to national security? Hmm?"":

This might cause an uproar but here is something we need to look at: 12/14/1962: The reports of Dr Hampton, Gould and Slayer are incomplete to say the least to the true origin of the body. It does lead to a belief have the remains of a undiscovered humanoid type creature not yet identified as any known animal alive to date.It has been ruled out this subject to be known to date as the blood samples and tissue structure are clearly not human- primate in origin as earlier believed. The exam cannot identify the makeup of cell structures. It is the recommendation that the subject matter here not be discussed with members outside this immediate department. We are awaiting word from ******** on the possible disposal of the body if need be. *********** **** **** ***** ********* .

Exactly what the above is, is not clear. But it was submitted as a comment and is interesting. ...Linda Newton-Perry

Beautiful Day in Oregon ...

Add caption
Today was beautiful, the sun out with a few puffy white clouds. The temp in our area low 80's. I wish we could all be out looking for 'signs' of bigfoot. Have a happy day yourself, and please comment.

Bigfoot Story

A Bigfoot Fiction Children's Story by Linda Newton-Perry

Bigfoot and the
Pretty Dress
(No real names in this work.)
Summer Lee Clark and Spice Martin, both eleven, were at this moment enjoying a sleepover. The two were best friends.
And they both L-O-V-E-D anything sparkly, anything with lots of ruffles  and just anything “girly” as Spice enjoyed saying.
Summer’s mother poked her head in the door and asked if everything was okay with the two since she hadn’t heard a laugh or giggle from the girls in some time.
“Great here, Mom,” Summer Lee laughed while she shook her drying, sparkly pink fingernails.
“Same for me, Mrs. Martin,” Spice said as a big yawn stretched her pretty face all out of shape.
Summer squeaked out an unladylike sound at the funny face her friend had flashed just briefly. Both girls agreed that even a big smile was bad because it could lead to deep wrinkles. The two went so far as to not purse their lips at all while sipping hot tea and they absolutely did not blow their tea to cool it.
Summer and Spice, mind you, have known each other for years. They each keep a journal of what to do and what not to do in the varied practices of “girl-ness.” These journals were thick, and stuffed with girl-wise rules.
Oh, to be sure, they had differences in their ideals, their rules for a well-groomed and well-dressed modern girl. They even had rules on how to disagree, agreeably.
At this moment Spice had hanging on the clothesline a very dark green party dress. The hot sun and a brisk wind flapped and snapped the delicate ‘gown.’  It gave the girls much pleasure to call their horde of pretty dresses, gowns.
Why was the pretty dress on the clothesline?
Both girls decided that the color was a bit off, a bit too dark. They believed some time in the sun would fade it. Once sun-bleached they hoped it would be just perfect and to their liking.
“Summer, should we turn the dress? We want it to fade evenly.”
     “Good idea. Let’s go.”
A few minutes later the girls rounded the corner of the country home. A tiny humming bird shot by on its way to the red feeding station. They paused and watched the birds for a time.
At the rose arbor, Summer threw out an arm, blocking Spice.
“Down, get down!”
     “What’s going on?”
“Quiet! Look!” Summer pointed to the clothesline.
Two bears, one small, one large, batted and pulled at Spice’s pretty dress.
The girls ran lickety-split back inside the house, yelling for Summer’s mother. The three then watched from Summer’s bedroom window.
“Those are not bears!” Mrs. Martin breathed out in ragged voice.
“Bigfoot! I think they’re bigfoots!” Spice said. She wanted to tap on the window, but didn’t,  to scare them away or get their attention. She didn’t know which.
The larger bigfoot snatched finally the green dress from the line. Both animals lumbered out of sight.
This shared experience kept these two girls friends for life. It is worth telling that the girls started a new section in their journals, a section on bigfoot.
Years passed. Summer Lee Clark, as an adult, enjoyed hiking the forest at the end of her parent’s yard, watching for the two bigfoots she’d seen as a girl.
Spice Martin kept her friend, Summer, informed on the news of bigfoot, as it came to her from books, Internet and such. One bit of information she shared was a rumor that someone had sighted a female bigfoot, wearing around her neck some sort of green ruffled fabric. The green had faded to a dirty grey, just tinged with green.
It could have been Spice’s dress, they reasoned. They laughed long about the whole thing, but not too loud, for they still kept to their rules for modern girls; they fought wrinkles and enjoyed still--Pretty Dresses.

I've Decided NOT

I will not go over my past newspaper articles for Ballyhoo or Youtube. Just seems like old news and of course it is. Let's just move on with  'new material.'
