My backyard is as close to the forest as I get these days. Top is a visiting cat and bottom is an interesting design on a tree. You know you can comment about your forest and woods outings  whether you were looking for bigfoot or not. Of course it is even better if you were looking for the animal. The forests have more to offer  than just bigfoot so enjoy and tell us about your adventure.

Newspaper Column

So many questions linger on the subject of bigfoot. Here are a few. Do you remember all those tracks found near London, Oregon? Were they real or not? Remember the documentary (maybe two) that Bill Emery was supposed to have filmed? Did he film it (them) or not? What about the guy in California that claims he killed two bigfoots, a mother and its offspring. Is the Patterson/Gimlin film real? What will happen regarding logging and recreation in our forests when bigfoot is “discovered”? Is bigfoot dangerous or not? Does the “government” have enough evidence to prove bigfoot exists? If so, does the “government” have the right to keep this knowledge from its citizens?

With all the unanswered questions surrounding bigfoot, one would think that our curiosity would just naturally fade away. Oh, maybe it would and maybe we’d all forget about bigfoot if it were not for newspaper columns, blogs, movies, books and TV programs featuring the animal. Without question, bigfoot is an intriguing subject to many.

I’m a bigfoot believer. I believe that bigfoots exist. The animal, the subject, intrigues me. So, I’m one of the many that searches the Internet for information, reads the books and watches the TV programs. Bigfoot takes up way too much of my time and energy. But, I’ve been sucked into writing about the subject and will continue to do so until some of the questions concerning bigfoot are answered. We, my husband and I, enjoy hiking. I use the time watching for bigfoot as well as enjoying the outdoors. If I should ever see the animal, I know it will be a mistake. That is bigfoot’s mistake, not mine. For one thing, we don’t spend a lot of time in the forests. And another thing, I don’t want a close encounter. The animal scares me! I think it should scare everyone. For instance, I don’t think people should be feeding this animal (some people do to get a glimpse). After a time, he might expect to be fed, demand it even. He may take up the habit of waiting for us along hiking trails, demanding our lunch. Although, he probably wouldn’t have to demand the lunch, since most of us would scream, drop our backpack and run.

Now wait a minute, should we run or not? You realize that we haven’t been informed by the “experts” on bigfoot as to what we should do when threatened. See, another question, an important one, unanswered. But since most of us will never encounter a bigfoot, perhaps the answer is not all that... Until next week, Linda Newton-Perry

Montana Bigfoot Sighting

Bigfoot climbs from under a log.

This Youtube video is one I've talked about on this site. A bigfoot climbs from under a log when a man runs across the log. The bigfoot woke up from the noise. That is if this is a real bigfoot. The title of the Youtube is "Bigfoot Slowed Down & Magnified." It is by Chris Wilson. Enjoy. ... LNP

Bigfoot Newspaper Column: Bigfoot: A Matter of Time

I’ve been busy the last couple of weeks organizing the bigfoot sightings that have been submitted to our online bigfoot magazine, Bigfoot Ballyhoo (bigfootballyoo.blogspot.com). I’ve also been making videos where I read some of the more interesting ones on Ballyhoo and Youtube.

I’ve been surprised by how many sightings feature a bigfoot that has followed, that has chased or even that has attacked the observer. Now that may surprise you, since many bigfoot researchers claim we’ve nothing to fear from this animal. In most cases it may be true. But it is good to know that there are ones who claim to have been attacked by bigfoot.

Just how many of these reports are true? It’s difficult to determine. The Internet is rife with hoaxes and especially where bigfoot is concerned, anything is possible (my experience, anyway). The following is one of the bigfoot sightings I found interesting. I will not give the name of the one that submitted the report.

... Many reports have a very aggressive creature, making it perfectly clear that people are not wanted in certain areas of the forest. I found myself as the target of one of these animals in 2008. My ordeal was in Northern California, twenty miles from the Oregon border.

I was assigned to do a survey for the California Department of Forestry. In the late afternoon, I was packing up the pickup with the survey tools when I heard a low grunt somewhere behind me. As I kept on with my packing I found myself being picked up and thrown over the steep embankment beside the pickup. ... I could hear something above me literally tearing the equipment apart in the pickup bed. ...

It finally became silent up above at the pickup. I slowly crawled up the bank. It was then I saw a huge upright male bigfoot eating three oranges, peelings and all out of the destroyed cooler in back. And then this giant animal let out a cry or scream that I will never ever forget. ... He soon left taking huge strides with each step.

I was able to crawl into the pickup and go down the mountain, calling for help on my cell phone. The dispatcher told me the EMTs would meet me at Lower Tandy Creek Campground. ... I went to the hospital in Crescent City.

... After some discussion, the forestry people announced that I had been attacked by a black bear. I was told under no circumstances was I to repeat to anybody that a huge bigfoot was really to blame if I desired to keep my job. This is why people do not tell the authorities about dangerous encounters with bigfoot.

Until next week, Linda Newton-Perry

Linda Reading Another Bigfoot Sighting (Attack Really!)

And some people camp in a TENT!

Wednesday, August 15, 2012

We have a right to know about bigfoot!

Do you believe we have a right to know about bigfoot or sasquatch as he is also called? I, Linda Newton-Perry, believe it is not our concern what the government is going to do about this situation, bigfoot, when his existence is brought to light.

We shouldn't have to worry about laws that might be passed and so on. It would be good to remember that this animal has taken care of himself just fine for centuries.

So, tell us about the animal. We will just have to trust that  good sense will be used in any laws passed. ... My opinion, Linda Newton-Perry

DMV Gal has left a new comment on your post "Cops and Bigfoot Reports":

It's unknown if Oregon is using the medical doc to keep the cops quiet still. I can tell you that they are no longer sending notice of redetermination out to people that report sighting of Bigfoot.

OR.Clark VS. State of Oregon 2011. The case hinged on DMV using suspension for unknown animal sightings. It was determined that OR has no legal right to do so.

Linda Newton-Perry Reads a Bigfoot Sighting Post

An older bigfoot sighting-post

Below is an interesting sighting from Ballyhoo’s Files

Date posted to Bigfoot Ballyhoo: January 15, 2010 by Sally Rich

The Mountain Monsters of Azalea Lake.

Azalea Lake is located in the Siskiyou Mountains between the tiny towns of Powers, Oregon and Agness, Oregon. Back in the 1940’s the lake was a logging camp for Coos Bay Lumber Company. The company built 35 cabins along the lake to house the loggers. My mother Minny Rich was a camp cook there and remembers the weird happenings in 1947-48. Back in these years very few had ever heard of “mountain monsters.”

In the spring of 1947, loggers started complaining about terrible looking hairy monsters that left behind unusually large footprints. Then in May of 1947 two loggers went missing in the forest above the lake. The rumor was they got drunk on store bought whiskey and wandered off to get forever lost.

Many stories about these big monsters were the talk of the camp and towns. Then in June of 1948 a crew of timber fallers saw what appeared to be one of the lost men with four giant hairy monsters. The man was totally wild by then, and didn’t appear to be wearing any clothes or shoes.

The camp had had trouble with strange tracks since the 1920’s when it was first occupied by a group of settlers that talked of tall creatures stealing their meat and other goods. In 1980 the USFS burned all the remaining cabins down and sealed off the road.

Did the forest agency know something? We will probably never know. Fifteen miles away is Squaw Lake, another USFS owned lake that is having its own strange occurrences. Could it be the next generation of the hairy monsters? Just a thought from some of the “old timers” here in Powers.

Dewey Staton Comments on above post
(January 16, 2010)

Sally, thank you for recalling the camp happening. As a logger that worked there from 1945 through 50 I certainly remember those awful creatures up there. I had four run ends with them myself. Those things were big as a coffee barrel around and as tall as two men standing one on top the other. The female one the men nicknamed “Blondie” because of its white and yellowish hair. She was a mean one. She threw rocks and limbs at a lot of us. Cutter, Dan Milton was spotted twice by us completely wild and seemingly crazy. We always thought the creatures got his partner Tim Dean and killed him. Sally your mom made the best stew I ever ate. As I’m 88 now, I still remember.

It is hard to believe people have such stories to tell of these animals. ... Linda Newton-Perry

Cops and Bigfoot Reports

I'm putting together the list of sightings from this site. I've noticed several are from cops. Several have mentioned that they were given a paid leave and had to see a doctor before being allowed to return to work. Do you know of a policemen that this happened to? We understand that they were asked not to report their sighting and report to sites such as Ballyhoo. Perhaps a family member could relate the sighting and what happened as far as time lost etc.

Casey May Not Be Real.

Just so you will know, I searched the title "A Morning to Remember." If you will remember Casey (a post below) claimed to be working with the Emery Team and said the documentary that has been in the works will be titled "A Morning to Remember." I found that most of the information available on this title was porn. So, Casey may not exist. I hope that is not true, but that is often the way it is on the Internet.

"Talking Bigfoot"

Photo: photoxpress

We are proud to talk bigfoot here. Now take this guy, he's just not in the spirit of things. But, it's a fun picture; it's a fun summer's day. And so, we thought we'd allow it. Be proud of your sighting and share it.

Is this proof Patterson Video Animal REAL?

Your will enjoy this video. It is 2:15 minutes long and by ThinkerThunker. The stride of bigfoot and human's compared. The name of the video is 21 degrees between Bigfoot and you and is a Youtube video. Click link.

So, Emery has been in two documentaries, right? I remember Dawn saying that she gave Emery her paperwork from when she had her license suspended for reporting seeing a bigfoot at the Elkton tunnel. She gave it to him so it could be proved that this indeed was happening in Oregon. The information was to be in that first documentary.

I understand that the first documentary was at the time of the oil spill in the gulf and so took a backseat to the news at the time. It was going to be aired on CNN. Why can't that program be released so that we can view it?

Does anyone know enough about the first documentary to comment? Thank you, Linda Newton-Perry

No, I've never seen a bigfoot.

Have I seen a bigfoot? No I have not. But, I believe I’ve been very near one. I think I’ve smelled one and heard it.  Where was this?

It happened while I was on the Big Tree Loop Trail at the Oregon Caves. This is where Dr. Johnson saw a bigfoot watching his family, several years ago.

I look forward to the day when my husband, Christopher, and I can get out into the forest and actually look for it.

Please comment. I enjoy doing this blog, but I enjoy even more the comments.

Thanks readers from Russia for viewing this site. Please comment and tell us what is going on in your area concerning bigfoot.

Newspaper Column

Last week we got word from Casey, a member of Bill Emery’s extended team, that by the end of summer or early fall we will be able to order a documentary produced by Wild Rogue LC, A Morning to Remember.

Casey didn’t answer my question regarding the three remaining clear photos of Big Clyde. I asked him if the photos would be in the documentary. He said the production was about Emery’s trek through the Siskiyou Mountains. The documentary will be available through Amazon.com. No matter what it contains, we can’t wait!

Who is Bill Emery? you ask. Early morning, August 8th, 2010, Bill Emery and Hank Parchell, now the late Parchell, witnessed a bigfoot. Their trail cam snapped photos of it.

For two years now we’ve been waiting to see these photos. One shadowy photo is on Bigfoot Ballyhoo for all to see. It proves nothing, since it is so fuzzy and out of focus. But it is there, and is from the group of photos that are supposed to be sharp.

I still get readers of Ballyhoo asking me for proof of one thing or the other that has transpired on Ballyhoo. For example, one person last week wanted proof of Ballyhoo’s small part in stopping the practice of Oregon DMV suspending licenses for reporting a bigfoot sighting to the police. The sighting had to occur from a vehicle. It was noted on Ballyhoo that several states had this practice. In addition to having one’s license suspended, often one’s insurance was cancelled.

I spent a sizable block of time putting together a spiral book of information for Dr. John Bindernagel of Canada, on this subject. Readers can use the search tool to find the information for themselves. And as far as we can determine, policemen of Oregon still experience difficulty when they are forced to turn in their own bigfoot sighting.

Bigfoot Ballyhoo is an online bigfoot magazine. We encourage readers to talk bigfoot by commenting. We can not be sure of the truthfulness of each and every comment. As a matter of fact, we had to stop accepting photos from readers because of the numerous hoaxed photos sent.

I would have liked to have kept with the policy of allowing all comments and all photos, but it hurt the site: too much time had to be spent in explaining the hoaxed photos. (www.bigfootballyhoo.blospot.com) Until next week, Linda Newton-

To Dale Walker

Mr. Dale Walker,

I have found the packet of information that I sent to Dr. Bendernagel. If you would like it sent to you, please send a money order for $7.00 to Perry, P.O. Box 334, Sutherlin, Oregon 97479.

Is it a bigfoot they are seeing?

Guest Editor:Blogger

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Is your hobby, bigfoot?":

I have on a couple occasions heard and just got word that someone has had rocks thrown at them down by the Willamette River near where I live. They claim to have seen a smaller version or juvenile and that it is half man half koala bear looking at them from behind a tree.

The parents who were fishing with their child did not see it. The child started crying and wanted to leave pronto in a very scared fashion.

Rocks had been thrown on numerous occasions so the parents didn't give it too much thought, thinking it was pranksters.

I made them swear  not tell anyone.  I will go tomorrow evening to check it out.  I will report back to you.

It may be a great chance to see one so get ready to roll, before some idiots hear about it and end the good sighting chance.

Well I'm excited and can't wait to see what it is and will be reporting when I get home Thursday evening.
