Announcement: Bigfoot Ballyhoo has been under attack, in the past, by a couple of people who wished Ballyhoo and its editors to look as if they were hoaxing information.
One of the biggest examples would be the claim that we made up the ESP Team, Bill Emery, Cole Saxton and the late Hank Parchell. A well-known bigfoot researcher found photos that looked like Emery, Saxton and Parchell. He claimed the three to be the real men and not any part of the ESP Team. (In fact, he claimed there was no ESP Team).
And then while the Emery Team was processing trail cam photos a couple were sent to Ballyhoo. These photos turned out to be well-known bigfoot photos, one from a movie and one of Patty. The technician’s son that was processing the trail cam photos replaced the real photos with fakes. In good faith Emery sent the dallied-with photos to Ballyhoo. When it was found out what happened it was explained.
Another photo of a footprint with a believable history was given Ballyhoo to post. Turned out to be Tim Fasano’s photo from Florida. Again, we’ve given explanations for each occurrence. We were hoaxed.
We in time recognized each hoax and explained what happened
"There are three rules to finding bigfoot. Unfortunately no one knows what they are." (Somerset Maugham said this about writing a novel. But we thought it could also apply here on Ballyhoo and searching for bigfoot.)
"One person commented the other day that 'No one takes this site serious.' Well, speak for yourself not the majority of us that read the blog daily." (Read Patty's full comment under post: Guest Editor, below.
Does anyone know if this is project is still a GO? ___________
Andy has a comment:
Poor control of a air balloon would cause it to be worthless in the search for Bigfoot. Many people have caught sight of Bigfoot while in helicopters and small airplanes but still can't get close enough to get a good photo. In many ways the History Channel has made all Bigfoot hunters out to be idiots.
New tech is coming all the time and this most probably will make the chance of catching one a bit easier.
To the one that challenged me to allow a certain post having to do with lies. You got your say. But I don't have to let the readers of this magazine read such opinions. I don't know any editor that would. I alone decide which comments are allowed. Thank you for visiting Ballyhoo. ... Linda Newton-Perry
I write along with my husband Christopher Perry. We are the authors of a Viking Age Novel, Forced Blood The Norseman and several bigfoot children's books. I author the blog Bigfoot Ballyhoo. I'm a bigfoot believer and I hope the animal will be "found" soon.
Linda and Chris, we had great success last night and early this morning. Bigfoot came within 25 feet of me and Hank. We put out salt licks last night to see if the animal would try to take it and he did. I am enclosing a snap of #6 camera. DO NOT put it on the site yet. We don’t want another thing like last week. You may tell your readers of it though. All together we got 4 shots. They will have to all be enhanced but we believe all are very good. This shot was at 6 AM, Sunday Aug. 8, 2010. The image in the background is an old rotten cedar stump. Thanks for your support!
