Bill is not available tonight to comment but has asked me to update our friends of Ballyhoo. Today we have discovered footprints some 2 miles from base camp. They are in a very remote part of the mountainside and the tracks are 19 inches. They were found next to a stream that is just about dried up.

 Last night we placed the outer cams some distance up the valley. This morning [it] to has been activated at 8 feet up. Also some scat was found near a trail that doesn't match any known animal present in the forest. This was collected and taken to Coos Bay with the photos. Bill will return at dark. He also is bringing up some honey and fresh smoked fish for our visitor at night. We will keep you informed of the latest.

By private email, Emery said that the Oregon State Police tech said he is 90% sure the photo is of a real live animal. The tech believes that the photo was not a photo of a picture being held up to the camera. So this means that someone is simply trying to make everyone doubt the authenticity of Emery's photo. Bill Emery has agreed to keep us informed as he searches for bigfoot. He will, however, not include photos of it, until he is certain they are ones that can not be called into question. We are Sad

We are sad because we have lost several good friends that we will no longer hear from. Bigfoot Ballyhoo weeps. It is sure to cause a change in our behavior for it is a sad day, when men and women who are only doing right must quit informing us of an activity that we all love hearing about so much. That subject is of course bigfoot. (We do hope you will re-think your decision.)

Bill Emery Comments

Linda, Chris and all the readers of Ballyhoo: After the communications with Linda yesterday, I have done a  lot of thinking. And after discussing this matter with my team, Cole and Hank, I feel it's for the best that I not write about my ongoing search for bigfoot with the current state of affairs in which we all live. It is very time consuming and quite expensive to conduct this type of search and the picture rumors and accusations simply can't be a part of it.

Linda has been most kind to Cole, Hank and I. With rumors of fakes and hoaxes in the air my thoughts are that I don't need to be distracted by these things. The real losers are always the people who want the truth wherever it lands about bigfoot.As for the cam picture I will wait for the lab to finish the analysis of it and will post the final results to all of you.

 When a person becomes the subject of accusations it is impossible to defend against. As I told Linda in a private email yesterday it is remotely possible that someone could have snuck into this area from the lake side and played a trick on us. Nothing in this world is impossible these days. But with me it's all about bigfoot not the people that search for it. I believe I will capture a much better photo of bigfoot one day. I have enjoyed reading this blog and will continue to do so daily.

 I will continue my search up here and elsewhere till I'm satisfied that I have done my best. And to all of you that have supported my efforts I deeply thank each and every one of you personally.

I am so sorry to hear you will quit writing for this blog that we have dedicated to Dale Saxton. You have done such a grand job of carrying on the work he was so interested in. Jeeez, here we go, remember what I said in one of my earlier posts - "All I can say is...Bill and Linda, hold on, this story could have a huge impact in regards to the bigfoot community, both good, and sadly, bad.". I know for myself, I have no desire to prove to anyone that this creature exists, based on the encounter that I had last year, I have the proof I need, I know without a doubt they exist. I now want to know more about them through interactions. By trying to provide "proof" to everybody is only asking for trouble because of the jealousy that is prevalent in the bigfoot community. It really makes me sick. I have followed this phenomenon since the early 70's and have always believed they are out there, and I always wanted indisputable "proof", but now that I have actually gone out into the woods and proven it to myself, I am completely satisfied. These creatures definitely don't need our protection, they've done just fine for hundreds of years if not more.

So here we are...Bill has spent many weeks of his personal time and money to provide the "proof" everyone is asking for, only to have to answer to all this BS. His credibility is not only being questioned, but some people are saying he has no credibility at all...REALLY? Really...based on what!!! Sickening.

My hat's off to you Bill, you have a lot of support here. Keep on keepin' on as they say!
