Announcement: Bigfoot Ballyhoo has been under attack, in the past, by a couple of people who wished Ballyhoo and its editors to look as if they were hoaxing information.

One of the biggest examples would be the claim that we made up the ESP Team, Bill Emery, Cole Saxton and the late Hank Parchell. A well-known bigfoot researcher found photos that looked like Emery, Saxton and Parchell. He claimed the three to be the real men and not any part of the ESP Team. (In fact, he claimed there was no ESP Team).

And then while the Emery Team was processing trail cam photos a couple were sent to Ballyhoo. These photos turned out to be well-known bigfoot photos, one from a movie and one of Patty. The technician’s son that was processing the trail cam photos replaced the real photos with fakes. In good faith Emery sent the dallied-with photos to Ballyhoo. When it was found out what happened it was explained.

Another photo of a footprint with a believable history was given Ballyhoo to post. Turned out to be Tim Fasano’s photo from Florida. Again, we’ve given explanations for each occurrence. We were hoaxed.

We in time recognized each hoax and explained what happened

Sighting on Fern Top near Scottsburg, Oregon, Friday night, June 11

Casy has left a new comment on your post "Linda and Christopher Perry's Daytrip to Tyee Acce...":

We generally will not comment on people who have claimed to see bigfoot while the witness has used alcohol. The only reason we will say anything this time is because of the previous sightings near and around Loon Lake.

Two people reported that they saw this crippled bigfoot Friday night on Fern Top near Scottsburg. The two people did report they had been drinking beer before the sighting. They claimed they were not under the influence when the bigfoot crossed the one lane road about 200 feet in front of them while they were walking back to their camp. The description is nearly the same as other people's accounts of the animal.

Thank you for this information. The road we were on today claimed to take one to Loon Lake. It is good to hear about the crippled bigfoot. ... Linda Newton-Perry

Linda and Christopher Perry's Daytrip to Tyee Access Road, Oregon

From our home in Sutherlin we traveled 60 miles round trip and had a grand time. The weather was ideal and the picnic lunch tasty. No bigfoot prints were found so the plaster is still dry waiting for the next trip. The birds were cheerful and butterflies were plentiful. At every turn in the road, I wondered where bigfoot was snoozing. It does a soul good to get out into the forest.

Do you have a forest trip you can tell us about? We would love to read about it. And it goes double if you were watching for bigfoot. ... Linda Newton-Perry

REMEMBERING the LATE GROVER KRANTZ

Emily Shader has left a new comment :

REMEMBERING THE LATE GROVER KRANTZ. In 1996 I had a chance to meet with Dr. Grover Krantz of Washington State. He was a amazing man to learn the ins and outs of Bigfoot. As we talked he told me of many Bigfoot investigators that simply didn't want the real truth known about Bigfoot. He was certain this primate was real and alive in our forest. The late Dale Saxton, Bill Emery and Tony Ward were among the people Krantz felt were beneficial to finding the whole story on this mysterious creature. As a rule didn't talk down any Bigfoot hunters but thought many were using this creature for their own gain.

"Writing books is one thing but when you make yourself a celebrity, then I question what your motive is" said Krantz. He felt that many of the people searching for Bigfoot were nothing more than people looking for notoriety and fame. He was very happy that some of the Bigfoot hunters don't take any money from shady and hidden corporations for their time or equipment. He wanted to convey that searching for Bigfoot was never intended to be a profession.

He was very worried about the way witnesses were being silenced by some of these opportunist. He felt that witnesses were the most important clue in the Bigfoot field. Many of us will miss Grover in the quest for the Sasquatch/Bigfoot. It is unsettling to me to see the turn of events that have silenced some of these witnesses after reporting a sighting on this blog and others to have some person start digging into their personal lives without good cause.

Thank you for this thoughtful comment. You can be sure we at Ballyhoo will not silence anyone. Those that share a sighting should think long and hard before giving their name. We appreciate all comments. It is good to read all sides of an issue. ...Linda Newton-Perry

Linda Newton-Perry's Bigfoot Column

Bigfoot is Still Being Sighted!

If you have been reading this column, you know that we routinely receive sighting reports on the blog, Bigfoot Ballyhoo. And what is exciting about this is that these reports often are just a day or two old. The blog does not require names. This allows readers to share their sighting without fear of ridicule, which often happens if a name is required. And it is common for locations to be given with these sightings. We at Ballyhoo do not encourage or discourage the giving of locations. Since we hope this animal will soon be proclaimed as “real” by science and law, it seems reasonable to believe, the more information we know about it, the more people will have the opportunity to see it and photograph it. Maybe even come upon one dead on the road, having been hit by a log truck.

My husband, Chris, and I are planning a daytrip today. We will drive the back roads west of our little town of Sutherlin, Oregon. We do not foster hopes of actually seeing the animal, but we will be in his home turf. The reason I say we don’t expect to see bigfoot is, he is generally seen at night. I’ll take along plaster just in case I find a print. I would be thrilled to have a plaster bigfoot print, especially one I found and prepared myself.

Bill Emery is due to tell us more about his adventure to get to the bottom of the bigfoot mystery around Sru Lake, Oregon. In his last comment he said he intended to hike the remote trails around the lake and camp where night found him. He has already spent a week at the lake and has seen several animals, but no bigfoot. We are patiently waiting for a comment from him.

If you are not a reader of Bigfoot Ballyhoo and you believe in bigfoot, I encourage you to join us there in our quest for information on the animal. We enjoy comments from the readers. The only stipulation is no profanity and no phone numbers or addresses, other than your own, if given in comments. The blog’s address is www.bigfootballyhoo.blogspot.com.

Linda Newton-Perry along with her husband, Christopher Perry, is the author of four children’s bigfoot books and a Viking Age Novel, “Forced Blood The Norseman.” The books are available on Amazon.com or the blog Bigfoot Ballyhoo.

Yes, I do believe in bigfoot. Chris and I will take a drive into bigfoot country today. We will be enjoying the area and have no false hopes of seeing the animal. It is my belief if you see bigfoot, he has made a mistake. But just the possibility of getting a glimpse of the animal is exciting. I'll bring back a photo or two to share. Have a grand day and please do share your sightings and opinions. ...Linda Newton-Perry
