I remember a sighting of a Sasquatch type thing in 2009 near Coffee Creek up behind Loon Lake. As it was this couple was fire watching for a lumber/logging Co in the evening before dusk when they were suddenly approached by this big hairy manlike creature. What I thought was the most remarkable thing is that the Sasquatch had a small one with her. The couple said the little one was about 4 feet tall with the mother around 7 feet tall. I would not have thought anything about this sighting except the week before I had found small barefoot prints near a creek up there. At the time I was at words to explain how they may have gotten there as no roads were near the creek. After seeing the small ones tracks I was amazed to find some much larger ones just up the creek about 30 yards. These were also barefoot prints but of a very large size for any human. Being a land surveyor for 30 years in the woods I had never seen such prints before.When BLM told me of the Sasquatch sighting not 2 miles from where I found the prints I knew this Bigfoot thing was no hoax. I have told this to other people to have then smile and giggle at me. I guess the joke will be on them someday!
