Hi Linda, my name is Arthur Lee. I recently started following your blog Bigfoot Ballyhoo. I have never really done much but read these things before. I have spent a little time going over all of the entries for Bigfoot Ballyhoo. I have a few questions regarding some of the things I have read. I did not know what was polite or not, so I didn't add comments to old posts.
One question I have is the manslaughter charge for killing a bigfoot. Do not get me wrong I am retired Army. If I can go the rest of my life and not harm another living creature again, that is very much what I want. I have read the ORS regarding manslaughter . I don't think it would apply. Also the blanket statement that "if you shoot one you WILL go directly to jail," I have hard time with. If you are in fear for your life or another person (the only way I would consider it) I believe you may shoot.
22 years in combat arms MOS's have taught me to listen to my instincts. I believe we all have them; just some are better at feeling them . My probable encounter told me I was being watched by something that was not quite openly hostile, but not happy about me and my friend being where we were.
The reason I have never reported it is that I was drinking the night it happened. It was the night after my mother passed away. My whole family became quite upset when I started grieving. Well anyway , the sober person failed to recognise anything was watching us. I pointed up to a ridge top running off a rock quarry and said "Something is right up there looking at us and it ain't happy we are here." He said "You are imagining things."
Well a few minutes later it was repositioning itself. It dislodged some rocks as it came down the small ridge angling to get closer but stay concealed. It circled around to where it was about 30 yards away and began breaking limbs, very loud pops. My buddy and my dog got all freaked out at this point and wanted to leave very badly. Now, I have no way of knowing for certain, but my gut told me it would escalate its demonstration if we didn't leave. I wanted to wait and see if we could get a vocalisation , or better yet a visual. My buddy was really getting nervous and badly wanted to leave so I relented . Now I have no way of knowing that it would have become more demonsrative if we had not left. I also know that there is no way I could have known something was up there watching us, before it had made any movement at all. My dog was not aware and my sober friend was not aware, but I was.
When I was in the Army, I trained my troops to not look at a target that was entering the kill zone in an ambush, because you can feel something/somebody with ill will towards you is watching you . My friend is a professional, so I would need his permission to give his name and number. I have broached this subject with him; I think he would be ok with it. I just don't have a lot of trust with any of the investigators I have seen so far. If you want to post this feel free to edit in any way you feel is appropriate. Feel free to use my name as well.

Thank you for your comment. It is okay to comment on older posts. We can tell they are older ones. You've made some good points and someone may comment on the manslaughter question. If I remember a comment that was submitted at that time said, that if it happened then we would see. These comments are all opinions. We do appreciate yours. Thank you....Linda Newton-Perry
