Trudie has left a new comment on your post "Do you know what happened?":
I was told by a very reliable source that a man in his 60s was camped in a camper at the lake for some fishing. Sometime during the evening hrs he noticed that small rocks were hitting the lake from up above in the forest. The mountains are steep up there with near vertical grade at the lake on the south and east side so he thought maybe a rock slide.
Then around 10pm he heard a loud commotion on the mountainside. He made the mistake of getting out of the camper with a flashlight and shining it towards the sound. He heard a loud scream-roar and got hit by a large branch in the upper body. I was told he was found by a logger stopping to use the outhouse at 5:30am.
The Forest service or sheriff doesn't seem to know anything at last check. At least they're not talking if they do. The man was said to be injured bad and hauled off to a life flight nearby at 8:00am. Tracks were found of a very large nature in the area around the lake and camper.
