Announcement: Bigfoot Ballyhoo has been under attack, in the past, by a couple of people who wished Ballyhoo and its editors to look as if they were hoaxing information.

One of the biggest examples would be the claim that we made up the ESP Team, Bill Emery, Cole Saxton and the late Hank Parchell. A well-known bigfoot researcher found photos that looked like Emery, Saxton and Parchell. He claimed the three to be the real men and not any part of the ESP Team. (In fact, he claimed there was no ESP Team).

And then while the Emery Team was processing trail cam photos a couple were sent to Ballyhoo. These photos turned out to be well-known bigfoot photos, one from a movie and one of Patty. The technician’s son that was processing the trail cam photos replaced the real photos with fakes. In good faith Emery sent the dallied-with photos to Ballyhoo. When it was found out what happened it was explained.

Another photo of a footprint with a believable history was given Ballyhoo to post. Turned out to be Tim Fasano’s photo from Florida. Again, we’ve given explanations for each occurrence. We were hoaxed.

We in time recognized each hoax and explained what happened

More on the Columbus Day Animal 1962

Linda there's something I remember about that beast they found dead in 1962. This may or may not be of help. I remember the beast was shown on a TV News station in Medford, Oregon. I can't remember for the life of me what the station calls letters was thou. Somebody from Medford should remember what one it was. I live in Boston now so I can't look for you.

More from Edna
It was about a week after the great wind storm of 62. I livied at that time in Selma and seen it on a TV news broadcast. Also many men in the area were talking about the giant apeman thing that was found by a logging crew. There was a cafe in Cave Juction called Junction Cafe that had a photo of the thing hung up on the door. I remember looking at the photo and it looked like many say bigfoot looks like. It was hairy, large, two hands two feet like a mans but only huge. I heard it was a female but don't remember who said it was.I do remember a big tree crushed it according to the news.

The thing they found in 1962 under the tree was called a Ohmah or something close to that. It was a Kalmyk Indian told me the things name.

Sighting! Bigfoot Sighting!

Olen Capps has left a new comment on your post "Comments Please":

6-17- 2009:  On this particular day I decided that a fishing trip was in order for me. I threw the equipment in my truck and was off to a small place called Williams Lake in Polk County. It's not easy to get to. You need to walk in about three miles.  I walked to the lake from the truck. I was amazed that no one was fishing that day other than me. In the afternoon a thunderstorm came in and I was not able to miss it.

I took shelter in a old fishing shack by the shore for safety. It really started getting bad when I happen to notice two dark figures come out of the forest and cross the meadow next to the lake. These figures became clear to me as they came closer to the shack. The two were some sort of wild beings walking erect and covered with short black and brown hair.

One was male and larger than the other, which was clearly female. The female looked to be pregnant to me. The larger one was about ten feet from the  smaller one. These two things must have not smelled me, because they kept coming in my direction. As they got within twenty feet of the shack they turned into the forest on my side.

As they passed I noticed both were of a human mix only much larger. Then they disappeared into the woods. I think the thunder and lighting caught these creatures off guard to me. I will never forget these strange animals.

I would guess there is photos of the animal. I would also guess the photos are in the part that's still classified. What Debbie wrote here is the summation of the report not the report itself.

Has the Columbus Day Animal’s DOI File Been Found ?

A commenter on Bigfoot Ballyhoo, Debbie, has given the bigfoot community some grand news. The Department of Interior file, and possibly bones, of the 1962 Columbus Day Storm animal, may well have been found. I believe the information is so important, I will include Debbie’s comments here in this column.

“With a great deal of work on the old DOI files from that year, I found what USDI classified as # exhibit 4377. This file is closed to the public and most certainly is the remains of the Columbus Day creature. The classified file in part reads ‘Species: unknown biped: date recorded: 3/14/63. Area: O’Brien-Dew Ridge. The bone structure specimen is unknown to DGDS analyses: Tissue samples indicate non human. Samples indicate non primate. Conclusion: Sample is not consistent with any known species of animal/primate known. Seal per request noted.’”

A second comment by Debbie quickly followed the first and included this information: (If you will notice the exhibit number includes an A which the first number did not.) “3/4/1963 File #4377-A. Regarding unknown biped: The subject discussed in the original file is complete with the finding of [the late] Dr. D.S. Gould. This is a medical conundrum to the true species of said subject. Subject appears to be some species not known to date. Some indications are most clearly not gorilla nor human because subject measurements indicate 98 inches in height. Estimation weight at time of death 770 lbs. This clearly concludes this subject is not consistent with known species of human or gorilla.”

I (Linda Newton-Perry) would think that the file should include photos of the animal. One commenter that was on the scene when the animal was removed from O’Brien-Dew Ridge said that many photos were taken. And one commenter said several photos were sent along with the corpse. How exciting this information is. Please keep Bigfoot Ballyhoo informed if anyone is successful in viewing these files. It is the blog’s view that the world has a right to know about this animal. We deserve to be able to appreciate it, watch for it, and if we must, protect ourselves from it. We know from sightings, the animal makes a real effort to stay away from humans, but a few have been reported aggressive.

If you think you’ve seen bigfoot report a sighting to www.bigfootballyhoo.blogspot.com. You do not have to give your name. We at Ballyhoo enjoy “talking bigfoot.” We want “talking bigfoot” to become commonplace. Have a share for it seems it is just “A Matter of Time” before bigfoot will be established as a real live forest animal.
