Announcement: Bigfoot Ballyhoo has been under attack, in the past, by a couple of people who wished Ballyhoo and its editors to look as if they were hoaxing information.

One of the biggest examples would be the claim that we made up the ESP Team, Bill Emery, Cole Saxton and the late Hank Parchell. A well-known bigfoot researcher found photos that looked like Emery, Saxton and Parchell. He claimed the three to be the real men and not any part of the ESP Team. (In fact, he claimed there was no ESP Team).

And then while the Emery Team was processing trail cam photos a couple were sent to Ballyhoo. These photos turned out to be well-known bigfoot photos, one from a movie and one of Patty. The technician’s son that was processing the trail cam photos replaced the real photos with fakes. In good faith Emery sent the dallied-with photos to Ballyhoo. When it was found out what happened it was explained.

Another photo of a footprint with a believable history was given Ballyhoo to post. Turned out to be Tim Fasano’s photo from Florida. Again, we’ve given explanations for each occurrence. We were hoaxed.

We in time recognized each hoax and explained what happened

Dale Saxton to be on CNN

Guest Editor-Blogger: Dale Saxton

Soon I will undertake a new thing for me in March.I have never talked about bigfoot in the public eye. I am scheduled to be on CNN for a hour with the Curry County Deputy that had the run- in with bigfoot.

It will be filmed in Curry County in the Chetco area. He has passed all 3 polygraph's with the state. We will re account what happened that day with the help of him and the eye witness accounts of the six loggers. Also we will be talking about how the state treated him and all about the drivers license suspensions that many states do when a person reports bigfoot.

When it will air I'm not sure but everybody will know ahead of time. It made me so mad when I found out about the states nasty little secret, I contacted CNN to get this on the air. They accepted so here we go!

This is wonderful news. This will help in making "bigfoot talk" commonplace. And you are providing a service, letting everyone know that they can get their license suspended if they report a bigfoot sighting, to the police, that they had from their car.

Oh, one more thing, I thought that deputy wasn't to talk about his sighting?

Follow-up to above question

His commander suddenly had a change of heart since CNN contacted him. Also the deputy and USFS man that saw the bigfoot on the search and rescue incident will be on too. (the one where the Southern Oregon couple was lost while hunting x-mas trees) . We hope to put a STOP to this practice of harassment by the states about reporting bigfoot.

Talk About Bigfoot

One of the best ways we can make  the subject of "bigfoot" commonplace is to talk about it.

Dale, your pictures are great! You sure have a knack for nature. I think the way your search was conducted is admirable. It seems a lot of people could take your clue and not expect so much when searching for bigfoot. I will be down in your part of the state in March and would like to give you some photos and a cast that my grandpa gave me from Azalea Lake in 1949. I do have your number. Hope to meet you soon.

We Writers Should not be Capitalizing the word Bigfoot

Editor: Linda Newton Perry

Professional educator, Cliff Barackman, on his website, North American Bigfoot, reminds writers that to be correct, when writing the word bigfoot we should keep to the lowercase. He, of course, is right. I've read this many times. I do not wish to confuse anyone. The English language is confusing enough. So from this moment on, I will not capitalize the word bigfoot.

Following is a paragraph from this article on his website, North American Bigfoot. To read the complete article scroll to the bottom of this page to Links.

"Capitalizing the word bigfoot does a disservice to the species. It suggests that there is only one individual animal and "he" is seen all over the country. I find this to be one of the most prevalent misconceptions about the subject, and am often asked if I have ever seen 'him." Perpetuating this misconception keeps the subject matter in the realm of Kookiness rather than anthropology."
