Announcement: Bigfoot Ballyhoo has been under attack, in the past, by a couple of people who wished Ballyhoo and its editors to look as if they were hoaxing information.

One of the biggest examples would be the claim that we made up the ESP Team, Bill Emery, Cole Saxton and the late Hank Parchell. A well-known bigfoot researcher found photos that looked like Emery, Saxton and Parchell. He claimed the three to be the real men and not any part of the ESP Team. (In fact, he claimed there was no ESP Team).

And then while the Emery Team was processing trail cam photos a couple were sent to Ballyhoo. These photos turned out to be well-known bigfoot photos, one from a movie and one of Patty. The technician’s son that was processing the trail cam photos replaced the real photos with fakes. In good faith Emery sent the dallied-with photos to Ballyhoo. When it was found out what happened it was explained.

Another photo of a footprint with a believable history was given Ballyhoo to post. Turned out to be Tim Fasano’s photo from Florida. Again, we’ve given explanations for each occurrence. We were hoaxed.

We in time recognized each hoax and explained what happened

On January 6, 2010 an employee for Oregon Fish and Wildlife spotted a Sasquatch on a remote road near Scottsburg, Oregon. While working on a fish ladder bypass tube, the employee looked up to see a brownish-black Sasquatch crossing the creek below her location.

She stated that the creature was slowly wading across the water and wtching her. She noticed it was walking on two legs and that the arms reached below her hips. She thinks the animal was female, around 7 feet tall and maybe 500 pounds in weight. The hair on its body was no more than three or four inches long and sparse in places.

She stated to me that the animal watched her for two or three minutes after reaching the other side of the creek. "It just stood behind the alder tree on two legs and swayed back and forth watching me." She also noticed a faint smell in the air of a pungent like smell.

"I was so incredibly startled by this large animal, I was not able to move."

I asked her if she reported this to the fish and wildlife department and she flat out said, "No way! I'm not going to lose my job over this." She has requested that I keep her name out of my report. I will honer her request.

I would like to talk about my encounter with the Sasquatch but I cannot. Somebody read this blog and then called my supervisor up in Gold Beach and complained about the way I handled this situation. My commander has asked that I do not express myself on this subject anymore. I can't make it any more clear than I already have.

Can a sheriff ask a deputy to not talk about it? Yes if the deputy was on duty, the sheriff can in fact request the person not say anymore. It's not right but what is?

You can bet it was Anonymous that did this as your view of what happened seemed to make him mad. Myself, I think you acted properly but some people think they know everything. Calling your supervisor was a cowardly thing to do. We want people to talk about this not try to shut us up. I know how the internal policies of police are.

Thank you, Curry Cop, for telling us about your encounter. I'm sorry it caused you difficulty. At least we know what happened to you, when you had to report a Bigfoot sighting.

And we now know, why Bigfoot sightings are not reported by the police: they are forced to take time off until they can see a state doctor.

And we now know, why Bigfoot sightings are not reported by truck drivers: they have their license suspended until checked out by a doctor.

And we now know, why Bigfoot sightings are not reported by ones seeing a Bigfoot from their car: they have their license suspended until they can get an okay from a doctor.

Who does this leave that can report a Bigfoot sighting without repercussion or penalty? Very few!

Thank you Curry Cop and others who have talked about their sightings.
