Announcement: Bigfoot Ballyhoo has been under attack, in the past, by a couple of people who wished Ballyhoo and its editors to look as if they were hoaxing information.

One of the biggest examples would be the claim that we made up the ESP Team, Bill Emery, Cole Saxton and the late Hank Parchell. A well-known bigfoot researcher found photos that looked like Emery, Saxton and Parchell. He claimed the three to be the real men and not any part of the ESP Team. (In fact, he claimed there was no ESP Team).

And then while the Emery Team was processing trail cam photos a couple were sent to Ballyhoo. These photos turned out to be well-known bigfoot photos, one from a movie and one of Patty. The technician’s son that was processing the trail cam photos replaced the real photos with fakes. In good faith Emery sent the dallied-with photos to Ballyhoo. When it was found out what happened it was explained.

Another photo of a footprint with a believable history was given Ballyhoo to post. Turned out to be Tim Fasano’s photo from Florida. Again, we’ve given explanations for each occurrence. We were hoaxed.

We in time recognized each hoax and explained what happened

Stock photo and not of Brummett Creek

Guest Editor-Blogger: Cole Saxton

We listened today to the radio about folks trying to go to Brummett Creek to try to see a Bigfoot. This is not wise at all. The road is very steep and narrow. Not a place to get into trouble. Linda was right in her column about slides. Up there the roads can slide at any minute so don't take a chance on it. It's supposed to start snowing heavy up there tonight, so please don't get yourselves in bad trouble. In that country a person can perish fast.

Sally, thank you for recalling the camp happening. As a logger that worked there from 1945 through '50, I certainly remember those awful creatures up there. I had four run ends with them myself. Those things were big as a coffee barrel around, and as tall as two men standing one on top the other.

The female one the men nicknamed "Blondie," because of its white and yellowish hair, was a mean one.  She threw rocks and limbs at a lot of us. Cutter, Dan Milton was spotted twice by us completely wild and seemingly crazy. We always thought the creatures got his partner, Tim Dean, and killed him.

Sally, your mom made the best stew I ever ate. As I'm 88 now, I still remember.

Be Careful Cruising for Bigfoot

Last week two couples left comments stating that they had been out on the back roads where Bigfoot has been reported. If you do this, please be careful. This time of year Oregon roads can literally slide off the mountains. If that slide is behind you, you're in a world of trouble.

I've been campaigning on my blog, Bigfoot Ballyhoo, for ones to talk about their sightings. It's working. I've had several great responses, and some beautiful photos have been submitted. And we just learned that there are researchers in the field in areas that have been talked about on Bigfoot Ballyhoo, Squaw Lake and Power's Pond. Don't we Bigfoot Believers, just long for some great photos of Bigfoot? It could happen anytime now.

A day or two ago, I watched part of a TV show that was very informative. One of the most asked questions on the subject of Bigfoot by those unfamiliar with the subject is, Why haven't bones or a body been produced? This program answered the question admirably. A freshly road-killed deer was staked out with rebar and filmed as it decayed. If asked how long it would take the deer to "melt" into the ground, bones, fur and all, most would guess at least a month. It just took one week. All that was left was a few unrecognizable bones and tufts of hair. So if it had been a Bigfoot's carcass, you would not have recognized it as such.

Again I would like to remind those that have a fortuitous sighting not to report it to the police but to the Forest Service or a BLM employee. Make sure they will not hand over a report to the police. Why you ask? You could get your license suspended until you can have a doctor say you're okay. Do, however, file a police report if you believe the animal is dangerous.

Why did I use the word fortuitous in the above paragraph? Well, it can mean either good or bad. So, make your Bigfoot sighting a good event by talking about it. Many people have seen this animal and are happy to carry on a dialogue with you on sites such as Bigfoot Ballyhoo. The web address is http://www.bigfootballyhoo.blogspot.com/..

Guest Editor-Blogger: David Paulides author of Tribal Bigfoot

In Tribal Bigfoot I wrote about a truck driver that was traveling between Cave Junction (OR) and Gasquet (CA) when he saw a bigfoot. This man (Travis Cover) signed an affidavit to the sighting and sat with our law enforcement forensic artist and drew what he observed; it was quite compelling.

I think the days of the government going after witnesses are over. The internet has offered a degree of protection for witnesses by the ability to publish abuse and hold others accountable for that abuse. I do know that Travis has not suffered from the publicity he received in the book.

Yes, it's true the forest service did burn all the shacks down, but they claimed it was because of kids going up there to party. Most of us that live here knew it wasn't the case as the lake is 40 miles from nowhere. Powers is a close knit town. We hear all the goodies at the coffee shop here.

Most of the older people here remember the Bigfoot happenings up there and at Squaw Lake. There is talk going around town here that a guy from Myrtle Point is staying up at Squaw Lake with the help of some USFS people looking for the creature that caused all the panic over the last few years.

I know there has been some people from Grants Pass staying at Powers Pond park that are said to be helping with heat sensing equipment and other stuff.

OK IF THE USFS doesn't believe in BIGFOOT what are they doing up there???
