Police Officer's Sighting, Nov. 2009, Oregon
Guest Editor-Blogger: Benton County Dan
It was in November 2009 when I was called to a possible prowler. It was 28 miles west of Corvallis near Mary's Peak. The area there is farm/forest type. When I arrived I talked with the complainant and then walked around her double wide trailer towards the back yard area. Soon as I got in the backyard area, I noticed large barefoot prints in the flower bed next to a large window.
With my flashlight in hand I shined it around to a woodshed in back of the garage. As I did I spotted this immense figure standing next to the back of the woodshed. I put the light on it and was very surprised to see a very large built creature standing there looking at me. It was well in excess of seven ft in height and covered with brownish-black and medium to short coat of hair. The only places where no hair was, close to the eyes and and nose and the inside of the hands. Its eyes were deep set and appeared red in the light. Also I noticed its left hand was up next to its eyes and it had fingers, not animal paws. The nails were a thick chiseled type. The arms seemed longer than normal too me.
It looked to be some kind of cross between man and a ape. I started to back up and tripped over a small sapling tree and fell. This crearure whirled around and walked off towards the forest on two legs. Also I noticed what looked to be female breasts on the chest area. It was storming hard, so I returned to the front of the house and cell phoned for some backup. I told the lady to get inside the house and remain there.
As soon as another deputy arrived we went back around and I showed him the prints and told him what had happened. We escorted the lady to a friends house for safety. Now! I've been on the force for 19 years and hold the rank of Lieutenant. Well, I still had a heck of a time getting back to work. My backup didn't get that treatment because he didn't see the creature.
Thank you. That wasn't very long ago. At least you can say, that you've seen a bigfoot.
