Announcement: Bigfoot Ballyhoo has been under attack, in the past, by a couple of people who wished Ballyhoo and its editors to look as if they were hoaxing information.

One of the biggest examples would be the claim that we made up the ESP Team, Bill Emery, Cole Saxton and the late Hank Parchell. A well-known bigfoot researcher found photos that looked like Emery, Saxton and Parchell. He claimed the three to be the real men and not any part of the ESP Team. (In fact, he claimed there was no ESP Team).

And then while the Emery Team was processing trail cam photos a couple were sent to Ballyhoo. These photos turned out to be well-known bigfoot photos, one from a movie and one of Patty. The technician’s son that was processing the trail cam photos replaced the real photos with fakes. In good faith Emery sent the dallied-with photos to Ballyhoo. When it was found out what happened it was explained.

Another photo of a footprint with a believable history was given Ballyhoo to post. Turned out to be Tim Fasano’s photo from Florida. Again, we’ve given explanations for each occurrence. We were hoaxed.

We in time recognized each hoax and explained what happened

Yes, I Carry a Gun!

In the Misty Mountains Live Lions and Bears, and You Would be Surprised at What Else Lives There!

When asked about carrying a gun, I'm quick to say, "Yes, I carry a gun when hiking." Well, I guess I should say, I intend to carry a gun. So far I've not wondered too deeply into the woods and forests. So I've not felt it necessary to have my gun. However, my husband carries his, even on short hikes.

Why you wonder, would I carry a gun? Well for the simple reason in the state of Oregon, one can carry a gun as long as it isn't concelled. And for that ones needs a permit.

The real reason is, I don't want to be helpless in case of an attack of a cougar, bear or any other thing that I might run upon in the wild. Many cougars have stalked and killed hikers, runners and so on.

My gun is a Taurus, model 85, 38 special. I know it's not a gun for serious game, but it might prevent a serious attack.

And no, I would not shot a Bigfoot, only if he had murder in his eye.

We have the right to protect ourselves. That is all I'll say.

Comments welcome.
Vernon G Makes a Comment

As a rule, I don't like to come down on anybody. Tom Biscardi the so-called Bigfoot hunter has done a lot of damage through the years for true Bigfoot Believers.

He has repeatedly been behind hoaxes that have hurt the Bigfoot believers ie, "Georgia Bigfoot in Freezer."

Also he was kicked off the Coast to Coast radio show because of his lies.

He is in for the money not for truth!

Thank you for your comment, Vernon G. Come back often.

Georgia "Peach" Pokes a Little Fun

Welcome Guest Editor-Blogger, Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones: "I love a good mystery! I am not a scientist or Bigfoot hunter but I had a lot of fun writing this 99% True Story. I hope you have just as much fun reading it.

Weekend at Slippery Hill

My dad's hunting "cabin" (I use the term loosely) is located in rural South Georgia, in Talboton, Georgia. There is nothing around it. It is so far out that you will think you are lost before you come upon it. Here's the directions: turn left at "The PoDiddy" (a rundown building with a big yellow chick on the side) onto PoDiddy Road. The road is paved but not for long. You will soon turn down a dirt road and wind through the woods. Just when you think you should turn around, you will be there.

I would say you should not judge the book (cabin) by its cover but in this case I think you are safe with your assumptions. As a kid I spent many a weekend at the cabin attempting to be the son my dad would have loved to have had. He had two daughters.

When Dad first bought the place the only place for a girl to "go" was a little white house on stilts back in the woods. Well Slippery Hill did get some upgrades over the years one of which was a TV (Yeah!).

One weekend I conned one of my girlfriends into spending the weekend with me at "my dad's cabin in south Georgia" with promises of fun and relaxation. Okay, I lied but we did have a TV.

So, our first night, there we were watching one of the two channels on the TV. We came across a documentary on Bigfoot. What a great program for two young girls to be watching while camping in the middle of nowhere. I can remember watching it and being surprised to hear of the sightings in South Georgia and the freaky pictures.

I have a pretty good imagination and did not really need the help of the documentary to scare me. Needless to say as soon as the lights were out (generator was turned off) my friend and I were wishing we had not watched the show. Especially come 2 am, when we had to make the trek through the woods to the bathroom in the dark. For the rest of the weekend, we were scared to go outside alone. We kept an eye out for the big guy.

Ten Years Later

These headlines were all over the local and national news: "Georgia Bigfoot Hunters Reveal 'Evidence' At Press Conference"; "Most Experts Say Bigfoot Claim is a Hoax."

There was a media storm around this alleged body of Bigfoot found in the Georgia woods. (I knew he was watching us!) According to the reports there was not one but three Bigfoots. Apparently the hunters found the body lying by a creek. And, two other Bigfoots watched as they dragged the body away.

The hunters went on to say they stuck the body in the freezer to preserve it and that they had it for a awhile before word got out. They took DNA tests to determine what the thing was. One came back human and another opossum (who knew). Unfortunately it turns out to was all a hoax (N00!)

Apparently these guys bought a Sasquatch costume on the online store TheHorrorDome.com. It did look really scary, frozen in the freezer. How disapointing!

Keep up the hunt! Because, maybe just maybe...
